Fur in Spring, Is the Thing!

Yes Springtime is almost over, but let's be honest, the weather has been a little crazy lately. lol  But with crazyness comes creativity. The trend that has been seen lately by designers such as Fendi, Burberry and Prada would be, Dare we say it: FUR PIECES IN SPRINGTIME.

"Fur is really becoming seasonless."

I personally love the look because it adds a touch of Luxurious flavor to your outfit.

Faded Colours: Ombré Lips

Get hip to the new trend this season: Ombré Lips! This look gives an edgy, yet classic feel to the everyday norm of wearing bold lipstick these days.

What are Ombré lips you ask? Well as you can see, it's basically a union of bold and bright colors blended together from the center or the rim of the lip. Yes you can use whatever color you want, but keep in mind, it's the contrast between hot and cold colors that will make the ombré.
You can pickup colorful selections from any drugstore for a decent price (i.e. RiteAid, Walgreens, etc). As for me, I've been stuck in the house these past couple of days due to weather and of course I got bored. But as you know, with boredom comes creativity so I tried it out myself. Take a look!

First, I used Covergirl Lip Perfection in 'Fairytale' to outline, then I used Kiss New York Brand in 'Nude Beige' directly on the  inner center of my lips.

Left: Kiss New York 'Nude Beige' Right: Covergirl Lip Perfection 'Fairytale' available at your local drugstores.

5 Love Languages

Here in good ol Georgia, we are currently experiencing ANOTHER winter storm!!! Ugggh. But I will not be the one to question nature lol. All I know is that I miss the warmth!!!!

Anywho... Valentine's Day is literally days away. Most people will be all booed up and enjoying this day with loved ones. Way to go people!! Lol I'll be celebrating this holiday doing the same thing I do everyday...trying to take over the world (ahhh Pinky and the Brain days lol). Just kidding!!
But no really... I wanted to share this amazing concept with you guys. It's called the Five Love Languages. The whole idea behind it is that people perceive love differently. The five love languages are:
-words of affirmation
-quality time
-receiving gifts
-acts of service
-physical touch

The Five Love Languages

I am by no means an expert on this theory, but it definitely opened my eyes. Chapman helps you to understand that people feel loved differently. For instance, my primary love language is words of affirmation. This means I feel the most loved when someone tells me they love me and why. If a guy was trying to pursue me and insisted only on buying me things, I probably wouldn't feel loved. But if this guy really wanted to win me over, sincerely telling me the things he loves about me would leave me feeling all mushy inside. This book is really a good read. Read on below and let us know which is your primary love language. #peaceandlove

this is a great summary, and The Five Love Languages makes an even better book (for EVERYONE!) which language do you speak?

iTunes has Gary Chapman's The Five Love Languages along with other editions for the whole family!!!

***I read the original one. Even though it is primarily for married couples, I got a lot of insight from it as a single gal.***

Almond nails..

Everyone knows that I love getting my nails done. Lowkey I might be a little addicted lol. I struggle with going from gel polish to acrylic and vice versa. Well this time I've had gel polish for a little over a week, and I'm already annoyed. They aren't looking fresh and new like they still should. So... I have decided to go back to acrylic for a little bit. With that being said.. I'm going to try the almond shape nails again. I really liked them when I had them for my birthday a few months ago.

Can you tell that I love my leather jacket??!! #peaceandlove

Lashes

Great lashes can have you going from blah to boom boom! I am obsessed with lashes. It seems like boys are blessed with long, gorgeous lashes and they don't even care! Lol. Well for those of us less fortunate ones we often turn to enhancements whether it be mascara, extensions, or vitamins. I personally love lash extensions. But remember the more natural looking the better. Here's a peek at my lash transformation. What's your fave lash product? #peaceandlove

Sunday Funday... Woooo!!

Our location: Chow Baby off of Ponce
Our situation: Bottomless mimosas before 5pm
Our outcome: Too much fun catching up with tons of laughter

It's always a pleasant adventure catching up with my friends, especially when you add in a little adult beverage or two. But now, my 25 year old schoolteacher self is telling me to go watch the inside of my eyelids. Nighty! XOXO

When I Grow up...

When I grow up, which will hopefully be later this year, I'd love to own a nice condo/townhouse in the east side of Atlanta...Until then I've found inspiration by doing what I do best(cruising the internet lol). Hope you get inspired too! XOXO

BHG transitional

What I love about this room is all the natural bright light and the wonderful colors! Blues and yellows together instantly make me think-beach, and when I think of the beach I think of RELAXATION. I love how the furniture looks comfy and inviting.

BHG Kitchen

This kitchen is so bomb! I absolutely love that the back splash is BRICK. How cool is that?! The only thing that scares me a bit about this kitchen, is all the white....I do not want to have to be on my hands and knees every dang on day cleaning those white cabinets. BUT... a light wood stain could definitely work instead.

About Us

What seems like forever ago, Keshia and Tamanique met in college in their late teen years. They met through a mutual friend and over time, have blossomed into sisters. They share similar interests, but also appreciate the differences that make them unique as individuals. Both are creative, positive young women who want to empower others who are also unique to feel secure and confident in staying true to who they are.

Keshia currently resides in Atlanta, but is proud to be from the Midwest. She has always been known as the eccentric, artsy, quirky type of girl. The 26 year old enjoys spending time exercising her creativity, whether it be by painting, working on the blog (www.pandpkisses.blogspot.com) or being of assistance in photoshoots to fashion shows. Keshia is truly excited about working on this project as well as sharing it with friends and family.

Tamanique currently resides in Georgia, but she's originally from Connecticut. Tamanique's college friends fondly gave her the nickname Bubbles as a representation of her bubbly personality. Since then, the nickname has been shortened to Bubbz. Tamanique is a 25 year old who spends her days teaching little kiddos on a daily basis. Her profession has allowed her opportunities to travel the world. You will often find her drinking coffee and cruising Pinterest. Family (including her pups) and friends provide Tamanique with the most joy.
